Another childish track for Claudia and AJ. Love 'Putting on the Ritz' but wouldn't necessarily associate it with the Charleston! Wrong decade! Suits an American Smooth more. The production team are really murdering some of these tracks this year one way or another.

Don't like the fact that the dance and music choices are being given out on Sundays this year - however, looking forward to the Blackpool show as always Very Happy

Praying there aren't too many backing dancers (or any - altho that's wishful thinking!). Lots of Latin n.umbers which surprises me as Blackpool the perfect venue for gorgeous Ballroom. Also, we've got a lot of Tangos coming up towards the back end of the series.

Btw did you guys hear about the ChaChathon? Replaces the Jiveathon and I think it's the week after next (followed by Musicals week).

Cha-cha-athon? Why don't they just do the Pogo and be done with it.
At least you can't put endless lifts in a Pogo dance ........or can you? dah-da-DAH affraid Why do they bother with the waste-a-time-athons? The celebs have enough to do without synchronised car-crash TV

I'd forgotten they do a musical week. It all blurs in with Movie week to me. I guess that's where Jeremy did his Yee-ha cowboy dance on that horse prop? Maybe it was 7 brides for 7 brothers musical or the Lone aRanger film?

lol!

Not quite - he did a Tango to Go West but ended up looking more like Woody from Toy Story than one of the Village People!

Louise getting decent music again for one of her more dramatic dances. I think she'll handle the Paso well because she finds intense easier than "ooh look at me I'm having the best time" and her focus will be more on Kevin rather than projecting out to the audience.

Yay at last Claudia gets a song that came out before she was born. Boo that it's got a babyish vibe to it again.

Isn't Ore's song more Foxtrotty?

Rinder's Salsa could be utterly fab or an utter mess.

The rest are okay.

S id - I thought that Judge Rinder's Salsa training looked fab on ITT tonight - looks like he's got great hip action and the routine looked like a bit of a 'real' salsa - let's hope anyway Very Happy

Totally agree - I thought that 'That's Life' was Foxtrot timing. confused

He did didn't he mauve? I hope he doesn't get over-excited and nails it on the night - watch Rinder's odds shorten if he does, I feel he's a very strong contender for this.

When watching the couples closely you get the gist of who is loving the Strictly experience and who sees it more as a crack and a tick on their CV.

Of those left in Ore, the Judge, Greg and Ed seem to be really loving it all. Louise may just be seeing it more than just a good crack now but Claudia I cannot work out and same goes for Danny. The first four you can see would be really gutted if and when they exit - the others less so.

Of those to exit earlier Lesley, Tameka, Daisy and Will seemed to be loving it and the rest didn't seem so cheesed off when they exited.

Extremely well observed CC and spot on - I think that this has been the difference in this year for me - there have been less of the 'tick the box on the CV' people in this series and it really shows in their love of dance and the contest. Out of all the celebs I think Judge R inder is one of the ones who could benefit from a career boost as a lot of people hadn't heard of him before SCD - but you can see the genuine love for what he is learning and doing which is shining through and it was particularly evident on ITT tonight. Very Happy

According to It Takes Two last night Robert Rinder has the Rumba this week. That could be the dance that ends his run. I hope not but have a nasty feeling.

I think Rinderella migh be up against it this week. Ed's Tango will surely have a better chance of impressing than the glass-slipper rumba where quivering buttocks aren't a priority. . The rest look pretty safe bets to go through. Then again...... Wink

Had to stop myself getting up and Samba-ing round the room to that! AT aside, I think Danny's benefited from some of the best music.

Lukewarm about Claudia and Rinder's choices and quite worried for Ore - that's an odd Paso song, very slow start. I think he was owed something more traditional.

That Samba routine in the you tube clip is first class. It makes me think how nearly all the sambas seen on SCD this year have been too fast and have lost the distinctive character and required steps in this dance - also the couple don't break hold that much. I feel that the sambas and salsas have moulded into each other a bit on SCD and they need to be more distinctive. I bet Danny manages it with this music.

I think Judge Rinder is going to have to work very hard to make something out of the Bill Withers track. It will be very interesting to see how Claudia and AJ cope with doing such a 'grown up' dance as the Argentine Tango. Shocked Rolling Eyes

He should refuse to dance unless they allow him to dance a rumba to either Some Enchanted Evening by Bryan Stokes Mitchel

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JSyCiIkOde8

,
or the Love Theme from Romeo and Juliet by Tchaikovsky and played by.......wait for it and be shocked.......Duane Eddy.....close your eyes and be transported.....(-:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uiiHpeibwdI

Under such an agreement and no other, and if they brought back Camilla as a partner, I would agree to dance a rumba (I'd have to be fifty years younger also)....well, I can dream....and I do have very good musical choices...

lol!
