Christmas Special Contestants
Copied from the Beeb web page:
Olympic heptathlete turned TV presenter Denise Lewis was runner up way back in Series Two, taking silver behind Jill Halfpenny. Has her Strictly experience stuck with her?
Chef Ainsley Harriott partnered Natalie Lowe in last year's series, heading home in Week Five. He's back to add a bit of spice to the Christmas Special.
Most family Christmases could probably do with a psychologist - so we've got one! Writer and actress Pamela Stephenson holds the honour of being the show's oldest ever finalist, coming third in 2010.
He's a member of the Strictly family, acting as Zoe's roving reporter on It Takes Two. But Gethin Jones will be back on the dancefloor, where he took third place in 2007, behind Matt Di Angelo and winner Alesha Dixon.
Saturdays singer Frankie Bridge dazzled us in 2014 with some epic dances alongside partner Kevin Clifton, eventually taking the runner-up spot. Can she go one better this time around?
And finally, we only just waved goodbye to him, but you can't have enough Melvin Odoom! He bowed out first in the current series, but the DJ and presenter has plenty more to offer - this time with a Christmassy twist!

Someone definitely dropped out for them to have Melvyn back- does that mean I get a second chance in the office sweepstake?!

I think Melvin must have got his underpants caught on the exit door and got catapulted back into Strictly Land

I really like the fact that they are all ex SCD contestants - I've enjoyed the Christmas Shows less since they just had random new people - so I really like the idea of this year - Melvin must have a good agent

Re: Christmas Special Contestants
I can understand the idea og getting past celebs back if they all did semi-well which they did but why Melvin?
Re: Christmas Special Contestants
Think they felt bad about the whole dance off debacle so they've given him a Xmas Spesh to make up for it.

I don't see why as he was clearly the worst performer on the night. More wooden than anyone else.

Guess they figure he might throw some shapes and move a bit quicker with some holly down his underpants?CaledonianCraig wrote:

Re: Christmas Special Contestants
Looking forward to seeing what Gorka cooks up for Frankie. Not sure what Janette's going to do with Melvin second time around. Maybe she'll dress him up as a Christmas tree and twirl about him like a piece of tinsel. Hope Karen doesn't do the comedy thing with Ainsley, he was a better dancer than that. Be nice if he got a classy ballroom to do. Will Pamela & Pasha get on, she's quite fiesty. No doubt all the Pros will re-watch their celebs previous dances on Strictly. A chance for Chloe to show us what she can come up with. Could it be a battle of Gethin vs Frankie?Poppetlovestango wrote:Couples are
