Re: It Takes Two 2017
It wasn't too shabby Sax though I say so myself I do love a decent gravy, that's my Yorkshire roots. I get very stressed when people use bisto instead of making it with meat juices!!my mum would turn in her grave if I did that!! I nearly cried one Christmas when I watched sister in law poor all turkey juices down the sink and then got out the bisto have never been back for Xmas dinner!
I am a complete gravy snob!!!

Still, double helping of the Corker

She meant it well and with a lot of heart - but a tad embarassing no?
I can barely look at Gorka - too, too handsome!
I'll let you know when I've caught up on it.......had to work late and just got in, but at least I know when to go and pour myself a glass of wine........

My thoughts too Sid.
Though at least his comments showed he's been watching the show this series, which was a redeeming feature...sometimes they have panellists who I suspect aren't clued up and are only there to plug something.

Oh yes, most annoying (and somewhat insulting to super fans if I might say) when they have celebs on who are just there to self-promote and haven't a scooby about the series. Thankfully, not many of those types of panelists these days I've noticed.

Ohhh Vinthent *sigh*
THAT was the most fun I've on had on ITT for years! He is not only an AT genius, but he is a natural comic with incredible timing.
I was only sad that after the Ochos and the Bicycle (loved those!) I had no-one to lean on to do the bit at the end
"I'm actually five feet seven. And a little espresso on the top..."
My adoration grows each time and knows no bounds

He's not stayed as my avi all these years for nothing!
New addition to my bucket list: get Vinthent to do the bicycle on me.

Another bandwaggon for a certain expert on everything to jump on? I don't watch I.T.T these days, it's all so false. I'd love a dance programme where the pros, Ian, Camilla, Karen Hardy, Housewives choice, Erin, Vincent etc, do demos and give tips, converse about the art and demonstrate. No bandwaggon jumpers and self-styled experts allowed. Ah, there. Better.

Her glittery heels were fab!
I agree alls, much better show all-round this year. Really making good use of the pros.

Oo er missis! That sounds a little bit rude..... But a fantastic thing to have on your list. In my head you ARE Vinthent - because of your Avitar.... Never change it!

Yes, me too Alls (thinking of Sid in that segment I mean...).
And yes, the dance card bit with the pros is fantastic and FUN! Also enjoying Jason's explanations of each dance wiht the demos. Not enjoying 'Demo Time' - by all means demostrate somehting to illustrate the point they are making, but stop leering at the camera and hamming it up. Unnecessary and irritating.
Zoe's shoes have already been stolen and are now sitting in my wardrobe... I will wear them wiht my Downton Abbey Sparkly Dress (TM) when I dance with Aljaz in a series of Strictly in an alternative universe, where I am a national treasure....

I don't particularly like the Friday night show Mr T - for the reasons you've said - but you should give it a try in the week as this year lot of the old pros have been back doing just what you describe above! Vincent this week and E rin and others like Darren and L ilia have been doing choreography corner - there have also been some dance class type demos explained by Jason Gilkerson and danced by the pros. It has been a lot more dance orientated this year I think.

Re: It Takes Two 2017
Yes, Jason's explanations of different dances has probably been my favourite part of ITT this year, plus catching up with E.rin, Vincent, Darren & Lillia.
I sometimes wish Zoe could just tone it down a notch. I think I preferred Gethin's calmer interviews when he stood in for her, he gave people more time to reply. Based on that I do wish there was a better role for Gethin - if T.ess ever left I think he'd make a good replacement.

Re: It Takes Two 2017
I thought Davood and Nadiya's exit interview with Zoe was really lovely. He has always across on ITT as a very genuine and grounded person, and I was touched at his 'glitter in his eye' moment. Watching all the snippets of his dances back in chronological order it was so clear how much progress he'd made over the 11 weeks. I think he'd entered the show for all the right reasons, and was very diplomatic about being voted off and about the remaining 5. Although I haven't liked all of her choreography, Nadiya also came across as very supportive and level-headed, I think getting Davood was a good partnership for her first year.

Re: It Takes Two 2017
Yes Jingle - Davood does seem like a really nice guy who entered for the right reasons and made good progress over the weeks. If I'm honest though, I can't say that I have been enamoured with Nadiya's choreography, finding it quite showy with not enough attention to the basics until last week when they did that lovely waltz. I think the American Smooth and the Charleston were easily their two best dances, both being the sort of freestyle n umbers that seemed to play to their strengths. Perhaps Nadiya learned a bit choreographically (sorry that might not be a word) speaking, as she went along, having made several mistakes in the beginning. I think in a way she was lucky to get Davood for her first year because he is clearly a strong guy and could take doing all the lifts - I think they went well together height and strength wise.
I agree it was a really good exit interview but I still think she is a little bit delusional (like she was over the rumba) when she kept mentioning about how advanced their AT was - sorry, it was anything but...................
