No I don't like him either - I mean I actually don't intensely dislike him but to me he is just a professional reality show person - I think I would be better disposed towards him if the judges didn't tiptoe around him and I don't think Janette' (who isn't my favourite pro anyway) is really moving him on standard- wise. I think the beeb are just so obviously mad keen to have a male winner this year and he seems to fit their profile - the manipulation has been obvious since day 1 - However, I have the distinct feeling that based on where everyone is currently - he won't quite make it to the final but I think that the judges will be inclined to save him over some of the other couples - so I hope there aren't any 'travesties' to come further down the line..................

Katie and A.nton really low down on both. And more repeat watches of Helen's Rumba than I thought there'd be. I wonder if the song played a part there.

It's interesting comparing Facebook and Youtube figures - one seems a more instant reaction, the other a more considered decision (which performance do you feel compelled to rewatch?).

Well, I thought I did, based purely on what I'd heard from people who happened to come across him in a professional capacity (NHS staff mostly). I'd never seen him on the tellybox before Strictly so was thoroughly expecting him to be nice and blokey. Sadly he is coming across as earnest and insincere. He is simply trying too hard to be affable and blokey (didn't Jason Donovan have the same problem?). Such a shame because in real life he probably is quite likeable.

Oh well, isn't that the joy of Strictly. I wasn't expecting to like Jeremy half as much as I do - he has certainly done himself lots of favours in my opinion by appearing on the show. And Carol too, rarely have I seen such a beautiful smile.

The one thing that always baffles me when people are questioned or interviewed is that they always seem so wound up and intense. Peter Andre could do a lot for his popularity if he didn't gush so much and just adopted a more laid-back attitude. I love Karen Hardy as a knowlegable and skilled dancer, for instance, but she's more switched on than Blackpool illuminations when speaking at a camera. Jeremy Vine is far more comfortable in that, although it's his job, he's relaxed and quite a few could take a lesson from him. Peter doesn't talk, he makes a speech and that faux sincerity and " I'm everybody's friend" manner makes the Reverend Collins of Hunsford, appear a very likeable chap indeed. Take one of the batteries out Peter and relax. You know it makes sense.

Really interesting to see again that K atie and A nton are fairly low down on Youtube but higher on Facebook - ahead of P eter and Janette..........agree about Jay, I'm surprised he wasn't pipped by A nita this week but he seems a long way ahead.
