Highs & lows 2013

I was a bit underwhelmed this week so not many dancing highs!!


Highs

Nathalie and Artem (although not recognisably a VW)
Patrick's quickstep
C.raig looking well
Brendan thanking all the backstage people who made everything happen


Lows

Mark and Iveta's routine - brought back terrible memories of Widdy and Russell!!
Dave and Karen - can't even remember what he danced as they all look the same
Rachel and Pasha leaving - definitely not the worst this week
Abby and Aljaz in DO - did everyone just assume they would be safe?
Sophie's outfit - what was that??
Dave still there - and never in DO

Could go on but will stop there!!

Patrick's quickstep. It blew me away with it's energy. I loved how he was really getting into it.

Very few 'Lows' this week:
Didn't like Mark and Ivetas's routine but.......
Didn't like L ens comments after the DO
Felt sorry for Nathalie that she couldn't dance

Highs
T.ess and Claud being playful - Claud with the baldy headcap, and T.ess sitting in Dr Evils chair with the cat. So much more entertaining than auto-cued jokes

Aljaz and Janettes dance in the results show - brilliant

Rewatched the entire show, and two other things stood out - Patricks beaming smile all the way through his american smooth, and also Ben's jive had a lot more complexity than I'd first thought

Lows
Getting a bit bored with Ivetas trademark 'leg at 180' move - it's hardly showcasing her partner

Rotating camerawork for Fionas dance - please don't start that again Beeb

L.en saying he would've saved Dave (which I doubt anyhow)

Just managed to watch both shows back to back. Phew - it's left me exhausted!

High's
Patrick really relaxing into his dancing.

Lows
Anya putting so many lifts into their routine with Patrick still having arm problems. One good one would have been ample.

No you don't always look for the positives. Sometimes I suspect you've been drinking too much pickling juice, and No you wouldn't have saved Dave.
Thought O la looked very tired and heavy eyed.

Susanna and Kevin's Waltz giving me goosebumps.
Sophie's mini comeback.
The pro Charleston - first pro dance I've enjoyed this series.
Karen's tartan themed dress. Original and bold.

Natalie being poorly. Really hope she's well enough to dance this week.

You forgot Kevin's black socks and street shoes Sid.  
Matador's shoes are almost ballet pumps and the "shrunk in the wash" pants were neither corrida or flamenco. The paso itself was terrific though.

A privilege to witness the Lazarus effect. How some of the Pro's and celebs are rising from their medical emergencies and waltzing towards the finals.

I liked the magic carpet even though it was a bit slow landing. Guess Persia's version of Axminster didn't have the jump jet vertical landing option.
