Re: It Takes Two 2013
I forget my left from my right & forwards & backwards! Id be hopeless.! Lovely to see Natalie again & it just proved to me Ian left way too early. What puzzles me is the professionals take time off re bad backs ie Robin & James yet Natalie has a week off & this bulging disc disappears! I just don't buy it.

Your comment about the 'Foxtrot' having nothing to do with the animals of the same name................
This has made me giggle for some reason Sid! ............just like the 'American Smooth' sounding more like a drink!

The more I think about it the more I agree, Sax. If you have back problems surely some of the lifts Nat has done recently just wouldn't be possible. I've known different people have different issues with their backs, none of them could have made those lifts. I guess the issue may come and go but why risk it for an entertainment show?
@Cellar or CD as I think of you. I did Ballroom as a youngster and I had a go tonight with Ian and Natalie, as soon as I tried to add speed I almost fell over!

Ha!
I feel a bit daft now
Nothing against the wedding couple, but I've got no interest whatsoever in them! I've found this segment very boring. Lisa Riley wasn't so annoying tonight. In fact, I quite enjoyed the behind the scenes in Hair & Make-up.
I think Artem is missing the point slightly. Having enough of a dance in hold isn't just about sticking to the rules and pleasing L.en, it actually enhances the performance in my opinion. There were parts of the Paso where I was itching for Natalie & A.rtem to take hold - just because I think it would have looked better and lifted the performance and improved their connection as a couple. I.an Waite did raise an interesting point about the height difference - but still, A.rtem did this with Kara and Holly as well (granted, not as much).
None of the couples are looking disastrous in training. I'm surprised by how strong both Susanna's dancing are looking. She's back in her comfort zone now - got the less suitable dances out the way (and nicely skips the Rhumba!). I think Sophie & Patrick have the most work to do between now and Saturday.

Re: It Takes Two 2013
Though I am not a Susanna fan, I am glad she doesn't have rumba to content with. And from the training clip it seems she'll be doing quite well in the main show this Saturday! Patrick, his biggest problems, are lines when in hold and his feet (flat-foot). I am beginning to think it might be his impediment, not because Anya wasn't able to correct it, but I think he might actually be physically limited to really nail those techniques.
Wonder who will be in the bottom two this Saturday! We shall see!

Re: It Takes Two 2013
Best interview I've seen with Nat and Artem but I don't buy his excuse for lack of hold. More likely Ian's take on it that Nat is taller.
Susanna is looking good this week, I hope it's better for her. Abbey is getting there and Nat's AT may finally be the one that wows me. Sophie and Patrick not so good. Going to start fretting now.

Re: It takes Two 2013
I think that all couples will be very strong this weekend. I also agree with you that Susanna should be able nail her place in the final with what I saw tonight. It will be interesting to see what Abby makes of the samba - having thought she had dodged doing it! Pity Sophie is up against Patrick in the paso because I think the paso might suit him very well but I don't think his waltz will cut it - from what I saw. Difficult to judge Sophie and B rendan from tonight as both clips seemed to be of them marking it and working out steps - possibly from earlier in the week.
I'm still amazed at how many of the pros can't do the drunken sailor step to full effect - A rtem was really moving his hips so that slowed him down - for this step you need make as little movement as possible above the waist and lean forward getting down iinto the floor - exactly how An ton did it.

Waltz to Unchained Melody? That's a VW timing?! Too fast for a normal slow waltz...
Oh, and well done Kevin! For holding the world record for the most number of drunken sailors in 30 seconds! Didn't know you are a wine bibber!

Interesting to hear Brendan adise Extreme Woman! to Sophie about the Paso! I couldn't see any from the short clip .Natalie with the Tango think could be leg tie & trouble! Abbey could be ok with her samba! Suzanna still on the fence re her dance. Costumes look better this week.I missed the fancy name for the bustline as puppy wanted to go out!

I think Janette was the one with the 14 disqualifications! Kevin had only two, or five...

Shock announcement: Zoe Ball gets right on my nerves. She's become the most "me" person on the box.Bring Claudia back . Hope this statement isn't an offence against the law. If it is, it's Christmas behind bars for me.

Ooh I don't think a Christmas behind bars on the table yet! I wonder what ITT would be like if the Jordans co-presented it?

Unwatchable sax!
Mr T - She can be a bit manic, but I don't mind Zoe. Just wish she had some different types of questions to ask. Every interview sounds the same (that's not really her fault though as I'm sure she's told what to ask). One thing that does bug me though is when the celeb or pro is talking and she butts in. Let them finish! Claud is perfect in her current role - and if/when Brucie leaves, I'd like her to join Tess permanently (I don't see why we must have a male main presenter, why not break with tradition and have two women?). But I grew tired of Claud's ditzy thing on ITT, at least Zoe is a little bit more knowledgeable about the dances!
mauve - I wanted A.nton to win the pro challenge too. It would have been so funny if he had!

Re: It Takes Two 2013
It could be fun thou Sid! Zoe gets little free room between scripted questions & topics. C.laudia yes was ditzy but that was part of her charm.Maybe ITT needs a new face? The show doesn't change but the presenters do! Similar to Blue Peter. Id like to see joint presenters Ian & E.rin say?

Re: It Takes Two 2013
I like Zoe on ITT, though agree with Sid, wish she wouldn't keep interrupting. Personally not that keen on the fashion slot now, I do miss Julien, or Una, or the other lady who's name I've forgotten (Hilary?).
Claud and Tess are perfect together on the main show, I hope the Beeb can see that.
Looks like being a great Friday panel tonight (especially lovely Louis) ...just hope they don't rush it as usual.

Did anyone manage to catch whom Louis tipped for the win? He spoke so fast, I couldn't catch it. I thought he said Abbey, but I wasn't sure.
Good FNP tonight, I thought.

I heard Abbey as well Lilbear. They're having a right ding dong about it on Digital Spy - some of Natalie's supporters insistent he said her name!

Re: It Takes Two 2013
I think it was Abby LB
But I totally agreed with Chris Hollins when he mentioned about Sweet Caroline being a weird choice for an American Smooth - - not the right mood at all.IMO
I really like Zoe on ITT - I think she is heavily scripted but I like the fact that she has been a contestant and is knowledgeable about it all. She does occasionally throw in a surreptitious one liner - I love her with Ian, I think they are a great double act. I got very fed up with C laude on it because she always used to make out that she knew nothing about dance, but she must have done after all that time and it came across as a bit of an act in the end. I think C laude is much more suited to the main show, she and T ess have also developed into a great double act. T ess seems so much more relaxed with her and I think it would be brilliant if they could host the series together.
