and the first contestant out of the blocks is:

Mollie King (singer/songwriter with The Saturdays)

Usual bubbly singer style then... Frank ie may give her some tips

She's reported to be 5' 4.
It would be nice to see Gorka with a possible. If Kev in gets yet another young singer, I think Bren dan & An ton might start plotting

2nd Contestant is male actor

Davood Ghadami (Eastenders) 6' tall

Third confirmed celebrity is the This Morning presenter Ruth Langsford.

Plenty of eye candy so far then. Any ringers?

No I had heard he has an injury and cannot take part.

The fourth confirmed celebrity is the former Emmerdale and radio presenter Gemma Atkinson. More eye candy and not a ringer according to her so it is so far so good as far as I am concerned.

According to the Dark Side's Dizzie, she's an expert in 'reality' shows "she's done I'm a Celeb, Celebrity Masterchef, Soapstar Superstar" also Casualty. Looking at Wiki, she's got a lot of acting credits, and is also a glamour model.
A tall girl at 5'9". Maybe one for Brendan or Alijaz?

A surprising fact is that not all the best folk in the world come from Essex, look like Barbie and Ken box models and have never appeared in the buff in any one of the media's tripe sheets. I'd love somebody "normal" to turn out a good dancer and win the glitterball......just for a change.

I myself of course am a perfect model of everything, naturally.

That's already happened .....Chris Hollins. Hardly a stud muffin.

And for Tangolero - Reverend Richard Coles. Again no stud muffin was the fifth confirmed contestant yesterday. The writer cum radio presenter cum singer could be the early candidate for comedic act.

Today the Holby City actor Joe McFadden was the sixth celebrity confirmed. Ringer material? He has appeared in West End musicals such as Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.

Joe McFadden height is 5' 10. I can't find a height for Richard Coles.
There's talk on DS about the Sun releasing the contestants names early. I guess some of the younger ones they'll leave til last.

I wonder if some of the new Professionals will sit on the sidelines as spares like Neil & Chloe did last year.

What, you mean it wasn't put a vest on you strumpet Jordan that won that? James will be devastated. But yes, a Hollins type is what I'd like to see win this year. Some really good dancers have emerged and not only not won or even got far in things, ; Colin Jackson, Austin Healy, Jimmy Mystry, Gabby Yorath etc, etc. If a Big Brother or Essex type showboats it and wins I swear I'll turn the telly into a Tardis and jump in there and clobber them....

P.S What the xxx is a stud muffin, or do I not want to know? Is it a sort of male Linda Lusardi in flat cap and jodphurs?

I think the youngest at the moment is Gemma Atkinson (30yrs). Room for a musician, sports person, weather presenter, comedian?

I don't watch any soaps, Holby, This Morning etc. and never heard the Saturdays... the only person I recognise so far is Rev Coles. He comes across as very amiable, self-deprecating and slightly bumbling, think he'll be good fun to watch.

I hope they aren't going to make the Rev the joker of the pack. I think that was the intention with Ed and The Judge last year and thankfully it backfired

Fact is he's already had training in dance plus does dance moves in his job. Biggest ringer so far I would say. And also has been a dance judge in a Sky dance show (name of it escapes me). Why BBC? Why?
