Just caught up with this thread again (as I noticed a lot of recent activity). OH & I were in San Francisco last month and, whilst having dinner in a restaurant (in Castro), we asked for a bottle of Zinfandel as we had both ordered fish and fancied a crisp rose wine. Were really surprised when they bought us a bottle of full-bodied red (and felt really stupid too for expecting a rose!) but it was absolutely delicious. Spent the rest of the holiday drinking Californian red Zinfandel and have found out that Tescos stock it in the UK; we've already got through six bottles since we got back (hic!).

Ooo love a glass of fizz! Which recently did their taste test and Sainsburys Blanc de Noirs for 15 pounds came out on top, also ALdi´s is always good. I think I´m just going to buy Cava this year, the spanish ones you often can´t tell!

Strictly and wine o' clock - Page 3 Empty Thank-you!

Post  jennyhighgables Wed Nov 28, 2012 4:42 pm

Hi SaxonSiren,

Just wanted to say thanks for our Strictly chat yesterday - it makes really lovely listening (I've just finished putting it together) and I'll email it over to you as soon as it goes out on air. Thanks also for your patience re: directions - you really went above and beyond!

Would love to stay in touch with you and anybody else who lives in the Staffs/ South Cheshire area about reviews etc, whether of Strictly or of your many other interests. As I mentioned, I'm quite new here, but I'll raise it at an opportune moment and see how I get on.

Hope you enjoyed Homeland... real nail-biting finale, wasn't it? I'll say no more, in case you didn't get round to watching it!

Jenny from Radio Stoke

Ah yes, good old pre-Christmas tension, sounds familiar Sax.  Hope you're feeling better soon, I'm sure having a virus hasn't helped either.flower

The part of the festive holidays which I'm really not looking forward to is January 1st,  when OH traditionally gives up smoking.  He usually manages a couple of weeks before it all gets too much (for all of us).
