Poor Tony. A fast technical dance, rather than a slow stately waltz.

Molly may struggle - silly song, to a dramatic, technical dance. From last week, possibly also a low fan base, although she may get the bounce back vote.

I love Chris Isaak, but I wouldn't have thought of this for a Tango. Fingers crossed that Jowita can cast another magic spell.

Banana Boat Song might work if the get the atmosphere and lilts right but it needs listening to as a cha-cha because it needs slowing in places. Emphasise, it needs listening to and it needs sway. Diane needs to keep the brakes on Tyler. Rythmn is the key.

Devil went to Georgia is frantic and might be too much for Tony. A cruel choice, but good luck.

The rest...??

In retrospect, I'm wondering what sort of choreography Katya can cook up for this one. I hope she avoids comedy and just goes for a straight quickstep without the need for any pantomime stuff. Somehow, I doubt it. Please don't give Tony a fiddle.....

There's some corking tunes there, or ones that I like anyway.  

Tyler's V.Waltz - A lovely tune for that dance. I loved Otis Reading and have his version and Seals on CD.

Fleur's Waltz - Love Elton John and think that will work too.

Wills Quickstep - I like that track and it should make a good Quickstep track.

Molly's Foxtrot - I don't know this one. It should work, but sounds a bit saccharin and meh to me.

Ellie Ts Rumba - what a belter of a song. Annie sure has a great voice. Should work, but will have to see the choreography.

Helen's Jive - I don't know this one but I like the rhythm. Sounds fast and furious but Gorka usually does a good jive routine.

Hamza' Cha-Cha - My favourite Motown group closely followed by the Temptations. I think it's slow enough to give him time to complete some decent moves.

Tony's Salsa - the deluded Pitbull. Should make a Salsa dance. Order the WD40 for Tony's joints and he'll be away.

Kym's A.Tango - Perfect. Love it.

Ellie S - Charleston - Should work ok. I'm guessing someone other than Nikita will choreograph the routine?

Always loved Seals "Kiss from a Rose" which I would prefer.

Assassins Tango. Dancing this at slow speed will show every fault (if any) so it will have to be pretty perfect. That tango mood is there, so....

I’m sorry if it’s just me but I think Fleur has got rotten music this week. It’s one of Elton John’s most schmaltzy balads and for a Waltz? I guess we’ll see her in the DO again. Ditto Molly, her song is just too bland , if the choreo is not something else there’s a real chance we’ll see both her and Fleur in the DO

Hi Mars. i think you'll agree the time's here when they run out of the obvious "Worse" dancers. In the main it's gone to plan, but there a much of a muchness amongst the remaining "victims" . Tony has defied the odds and shown genuine improvement and is now a decent dancer, but since each dance is a choreography exercise for the pros rather than any known "beats to the bar"  dance, anything can still happen. Ellie S is surely out of tightrope despite having defied the odds,proved a great point and learned to dance, but decidedly is the weakest of those left. Molly and Fleur seem to be targeted and I agree on their music being poor. Not sure if it still applies, but going off my own experience a few years back, the Beeb tend to produce the over all show content, but leave the music and dance to the pros. It would be interesting to know if this is still true, producing the question, who decides?

Hi Tango! I think this ship has sailed long time ago since Gilkinson took over. Gone are days when the pros had any kind of input on music. I remember reading long time ago that the pros submitted a list of songs to match the dances, sometimes they were accepted, sometimes not. If not, such song could be given to a remaining couple depending on a set of circumstances. I think these days celebs can choose some songs and submit the request but I don’t think it’s guaranteed they’ll get such song.

I agree with you re everything else. I think this week we’ll be in for a “shock” elimination. Ellie S has been tested as she was bottom of the leaderboard last weekend but this week she’s got a Charleston which seems to be cursed this series. Tony will leave probably in a few weeks time. His short trip to Dusseldorf is very much akin to Dan Walker/Ed Balls/etc, they usually last a little longer when the public decides that they’ve outstayed their welcome ( usually around week 9/10). I feel it in my waters we’ll see Molly and Fleur in the DO this weekend as both seem to have “plain” dances and songs. I mean, I love a well danced foxtrot but gone are the days when the public got excited by one.

Try  typing O la, Cr aig or Br uno, the joke was mostly based on some of the original pro dancers and judges

I agree that Fleur and Molly are being lined up for the yearly 'shock' (not) dance off. I think Ellie S has a bigger fan base although she's probably the weakest female now. Ellie may be saved by the public if she can get a good Charleston routine.
