Strictly 2016 Rumour Mill

Well we are now edging towards a time when the Strictly rumour mill begins to pick up momentum for the 2016 line-up. Obviously, with Aliona quitting and Kristina almost certainly out of the next series the professional list will look different as well. Back yo the celebs and here are some of the early rumours:-

I hope we get to see some British Pro dancers coming through. There's a lot of local talent I'm sure.

Love to see Jonny Wilkinson in SCD... I can see Ruth a possibility even with Eammon as a side kick.

I'd like to see more home grown talent re our ballroom dancers

I'd love to see that sexy siren Lorraine Kelly in the show but do believe she has ruled it out as she acknowledges she dances so bad.

Not sure who will appear. Mr Bake off? Sue or Mel? Dawn French or Jennifer Saunders. Ade Edmund son or Jamie Rednal maybe. We are due a Rugby player and a boy band maybe Harry Sykes?

I see that Gleb is not coming back (Hooray!). According to the usual tosh driven tabloids, he's keen to preserve his marriage, and is concerned about the Strictly Curse.

With so many new Pro dancers, it should be a whole new show this year. I wonder what other changes are afoot?

Was Gleb asked to come back? I didn't warm to Gleb but he was refreshing. Will Brendan still be 8n SCD or A.nton

'We're dusting off our dancing shoes to reveal our professional dancer line up for 2016 which includes three brand new dancers alongside the return of viewers’ favourites.

New to the fold are world-class Latin and Ballroom dance experts - World Champion Katya Jones, Ukrainian Champion Oksana Platero and top Spanish dance professional Gorka Marquez.

Returning to the Strictly dance floor are our male dancers, Housewives choice du Beke, Brendan Cole, Kevin Clifton, Pasha Kovalev, Aljaž Škorjanec, Giovanni Pernice; and fabulous female dancers are Karen Clifton, Natalie Lowe, Joanne Clifton, Janette Manrara and Oti Mabuse.

Strictly extends its thanks to Tristan MacManus and also to Aliona Vilani, Kristina Rihanoff, put a vest on you strumpet Jordan who announced at the end of last series that they wouldn’t be returning to the show, and finally to Gleb Savchenko who has decided that due to family commitments he will not be appearing in the next series.

Gleb said: “I thoroughly enjoyed taking part on the last series of Strictly Come Dancing and especially the way that the UK gave me such a warm welcome but due to family commitments I won't be returning to the show for the next series - I'll definitely be tuning in though.”
