Oh gosh sorry sax, I feel for you. It must be so miserable and exhausting.
My mum's going through something similar atm (tho not as serious) - she's had issues with her asthma for several weeks and I think it's developed into chronic bronchitis and possibly even COPD. She's on steroids and inhalers galore. Taking her to the docs tomorrow cos the nurse on the Asthma Helpline (god she was brilliant) says my mum needs a proper diagnosis and x-rays and more effective inhalers etc
Was your grandson's party today? Hope it managed to lift your spirits a little x

Oh gosh Sax -that sounds grim and awful. Poor you I do hope you were able to attend your little grandson's shindig and didn't feel unwell.. I really, really hope you feel a lot better very soon.
ANd just to keep this on topic, three years after everyone else, I have discovered Catastrophe on All4 (all 3 series available in a boxed set). I'm really enjoying it
And wandering off piste again... Had a lovely, though freezing cold weekend in the Dales with my two lovely friends. We watched Strictly and voted - and were very pleased our votes appeared to count . Wandering over to the Main Board now to catch up on all your views on Saturday's show, and to add a few comments of my own...

Put your feet up sax and try and take it easy. I'm sure you'll have some box sets to pass some time. Hopefully the chest specialist will be able to shift some excess fluids which'll also help your breathing.saxonsiren wrote:Enjoy B4p and hope you're feeling better. Re: RE: Other TV programmes you like or loathe
It' good yes but so many questions!
In a major murder enquiry would they just abandon responsibility and go chat to wife or pick up sick child!
Would a register office allow someone to just hang about all day for one registrar only?
Who is blackmailing who now?
Is the sham marriage a network ring?
Has the tape been sent to boss and if it has surely all three suspended/sacked and the woman blackmailing surely should be dealt with more severel L
Last what office parties still happen at work and people get drunk and we'l get it on in the strong room etc etc?

Has anyone watched Susan Calman's 'Armchair Detective' show that's on during the afternoon? I caught part of todays, and thought it looked good. A bit like a real life Cluedo

I've heard good things B4, am going to check it out.
I've managed to get sucked into the Jungle this year. God knows how that happened but here we are! Anyone else watching?

Yes, I'm following the jungle too Sid. I've found it a bit hit and miss over the past few years, but I think this is a good series. I'm siding with Iain in terms of 'the cult of Stanley', he'd irritate me no end. I'd started out determined not to like Rebecca Vardy, but I've been impressed with her - she's a strong survivor.
Loving the Ant and Dec partnership as always, and the ongoing saga of Dennis Wise being a tiny tiny man. As a double act I don't think they can be matched.
Best moment so far has been Amir Khan pulling the snake out of the hole and then fleeing, that was so funny. And I'm really glad Iain conquered his fears with the trial yesterday.
I'm assuming already that Toff is the cert to win, which is OK by me though she wouldn't be my favourite. I do think reality stars have a head-start, they know how to 'play the game' so to speak.
Vanessa seems so very quiet - it's a bit odd to think that her day-job is with our Mollie (though I don't know if the Saturdays are still a thing, never heard of them tbh).

Re: RE: Other TV programmes you like or loathe
I'm watching the jungle too. Loving Denis Wise "little man " jokes. Amir with the first challenge lol with the omg I pulled a snake out and runs away! He could have got the star at least. Vanessa meh hasn't done a lot... Sorry that Jack went under weird circumstances but aVlogger has that to protect his Kingdom. ..
Loving Stanley totally and Tofor never heard of her before but seems another Scarlet to win....Rebecca I'm still not sure can be quite vile at times hubby just says "common " his not a wag lover.... The Scottish mp looks as if she will clash with Amir and few others..
Ian grown on me. Omg Kiosk Keith ill missed a stint cannot believe it. Kiosk Kat didn't cut the mustard.
Ant & Dec were correct re their b7dget and bush tucker trials lol on a budget. I liked the servants/King/Queen theme from prev series and the cage too!
First one out possibly Vanessa/Jennifer?

Re: RE: Other TV programmes you like or loathe
Agree with you both about Amir's snake phobia not being anything but piss-your-pants hilarious.
I'm siding with Iain too. He counted out his stones correctly, it's Stanley who didn't so why was he getting cranky with Iain?! I admire how open Iain's been about his mental health problems - still such a s.tigma, especially among men.
I can't stand Becky though! Nothing wrong with being competitive and tough but she was so duplicitous on returning to camp after the failed trial - blaming it on Shappi to the girls and blaming it on the girls to Shappi! I think she's close to blowing her lid.
Toff just seems a bit too contrived for my liking. As you guys say, she knows how to play the reality show game.
Vanessa is totally flying under the radar. I had to even think who she was when you both mentioned her name! Jingle I think she said the Saturdays haven't released any material for about 4 years now. They always struck me as a Lidl version of Girls Aloud (no offence Mollie!).

Re: RE: Other TV programmes you like or loathe
Concur with all your lols re Amir and Dennis "tiny man" Wise. I expected to,hate Toff but am finding I'm warming to her much against my will. Mrs Vardy is an absolute machine, she makes me laugh at how competitive she is and how angry she looks sometimes. I think if she does blow her top there will be quite a bit of fallout.
I'm not really taking to Iain if I'm honest. He seems a bit self absorbed- although that's obvs a relative term in reality shows! The Scottish mp - can't even think of her name, has struggled to,fit in I think.
When do we start voting them off?
