Well, it's jive timing for sure, but it looks like a hybrid quickstep in parts. Gee, just do a jive that looks like one.....please...!

Yes, but they do look very good. I'm sure her fitness level will be up and running by the end of this week.

Thanks Sid. He looks a bit better than I imagined and seems to be enjoying it.

I read an article in which he said he was worried he was going to be the idiot contestant - the 'buffoon' of the series. Bless him.
Anyway, Clip 13 is Carol and Pasha's training:

They seem to be getting on well.

Carol and Pasha seem ok with the "drums" system. J Vine looks ok too. The official photos make a few couples look quite dazzling and others not so.Glen scrubs up well. Brendan and Kirsty look a possible pair for Blackpool definately

Hello gang <<<>>>
I think that's all the first steps videos done now. By far the strongest, imo, seems to be Georgia May. Think she'll go all the way.

D'you think fifty? I'm not so sure. It's hard to make predictions based on one day's training. Place your bets ladies and gentlemen!

Thanks sid for posting the training clips
Just back last night from the land of little Vin cent's! Had a stunning room opposite the Colloseum.
Can't wait for tonight. I shall be catatonic by the TV with a big 'do not disturb sign' on the door. Going to catch up with the last few training clips and music choices next. I think we put the music on the 'Which Dance This Week thread last year, but I'll go and check.

Re: Training Clips 2015
Not seeing anything from the training clips that changes my initial thoughts. Jeremy Vine doesn't have rythmn. Anybody can struggle to learn new things, that's natural, but neither J.V or the Iwan fellow move with any trace of grace (ooh, poetic). The pair of them are almost robotic in their movememnt. Vine is placing himself in positions instead of flowing into them. I'm not being unkind, I know they are just learning, but put against some of the others they're lacking already (at least for me). Danny O'Donnell is ahead of both in progress. Of the girls, Kirsty Gallagher looks a little stiff and awkward, and Georgia May and Helen George are already looking like dancers. The rest are coming along in the expected order of progress. Weekend may change my views....time will tell, no doubt.

Re: Training Clips 2015
Just my views, and as such non-gospel:
Nobody is actually looking hopeless, far from it. A couple are struggling, Carol still looks "heavy", Jeremy still look a bit "gangly" and Jay is giving the least away by pretending clumsiness (Aliona's impersonation of him was funny). In fairness, and remembering this isn't the Bolshoi Ballet ( is Anita maybe leaning a little heavily on ballet postures?) most of them seem to be progressing well enough. Kirsty still manages to look amazed at being able to put one foot in front of the other successfully, and Daniel looks astounded that he's actually dancing (and not badly at that if he can just shed the Burton's dummy expression). Anthony needs a little more arrogance and a little less anger in his paso and Peter needs to keep an eye on the bull/cape ( ie, his partner) instead of posing for the distant audience. In short, it may become rather difficult soon to find bad dancers rather than good ones. A much closer contest than we've seen in a while.

I could literally watch HOURS of this.
And Mr T you're right, no dance disaaaaasters by the looks of things!
Movie Week has been quite a success. Thinking back to last year, two of my most memorable dances of the series were Sunetra's AS and Frankie's Paso - both of which were from Movie Week.

Ah, okay, it isn't a training clip and I'm not sure what week it was, but I never miss a chance to put in what I see as fantastic teaching, choreography, great dancing in the best traditions of the ballroom and sheer dazzling enjoyment that even had the judges applauding.

Re: Training Clips 2015
I loved their cha cha too and a lot of what they did overall through the series. Some of it was underrated I thought at the time so I was so glad that they got to the final even though they didn't make the last cut.
