At this stage it's not clear whether the launch show will be postponed or not, but I'm looking forward to our forum's resumption once the series has started.

I shall be travelling to Scotland on Saturday night, so I don't know if I'll see the launch show or not, assuming it's actually on. If the launch gets delayed a week, will that affect the actual start date? There's no news on the news section of the BBC site yet again.

You've probably already seen the announcement by now, but the pre-recorded launch show has been postponed until Fri 23rd, with the first live show the following day

Personally I think that's the best and most appropriate solution, plus it'll mean a long weekend of Strictly to look forward to

I agree Jingle the right choice to defer The Launch Show.
We now get two nights of SCD.

Just checking in to say hello to all
Hope everyone had a good summer

Because of the change to the launch show date I'm going out to dinner with work friends tonight - and the ironic thing is that we are all Strictly fans!! So I will either have a very late night tonight or binge watch both shows tomorrow!!

I've deliberately not really followed any of the build up to the show this year - I want to be surprised! And although I like Kym Marsh there is no-one in it this year to whom I've got a 'pre-allegiance' so to speak...........That doesn't bother me as some of my best years have been those where I haven't known many of the celebs and have enjoyed getting to know them based on dance ability.

So very much looking forward to the new series and I think that after the sadness of the last few weeks and with everything going on in the world, a good dose of Strictly is just what we need..........................fasten your seat belts.................
