ITT Ed said he's doing Samba.

Spoonful of sugar is NOT the right time signature for a VW! Argh. They are going to force the time signature again! Evil or Very Mad Why can't they just let them do a QS to that song?! If they MUST do a VW, then the chimney song will be infinitely better! Sad

I watched 'The Full Monty' for the umpteenth time a few days ago. I can't listen to that 'Flashdance' theme now without thinking of the Full Monty lads watching that infamous video clip to get some ideas for their own dance routine, and one of them complaining about a) the welder being a girl and b) how she'd got the mix all wrong on the gas tanks (although I'm told by a welder that she wasn't doing that type of welding). Still makes me laugh now

I'm not sure about the Slum Dog Millionaire tune for a Salsa. I guess Karen will be dressed like Nicole in the video but will Will still have his trade mark ankle-biter jeans on under a Bangra boy costume?

As it turns out, the Spoonful of Sugar IS a Quickstep, according to ITT.

Yes that made more sense! A VW to Chim Chim Cher-ee would be great tho.

I know Ed's doing a Samba but a Jive to "Great Balls of Fire" is something I hope we get to see at some point Laughing

Relieved to hear that Alijaz and Daisy are doing a QS to 'Spoonful of Sugar' -  even SCD could not make a VW out of this track!

Once again a very challenging dance for Ed - seems early to be getting the samba  - What track is he dancing to?   (would have liked to have seen a jive to 'Great Balls of Fire' too!)

I'm also hoping that Oti and Danny do a great Paso but I don't want to see a theatre/stage dance version from Danny.

Lucky Ore getting 'Singing in the Rain' - does anyone remember Kristina and Jason doing this in the latter stages of the contest? The judges were a bit mean and said it was difficult to recreate a classic - something on those lines. Something bothers me about Ore and Joanne (apart from the 'over the top' stuff) Ore seems to do a lot of posing and on watching back their dances and the short training clip shown on ITT tonight, I think that Ore is doing a lot of performing out to the audience but I think he needs more connection with Joanne - maybe they will grow into the partnership, as he has good potential.

I think you've hit the nail on the head there mauve. These two haven't settled into their partnership yet. There's bags of raw talent to work with in Ore but he needs to learn it's a partnership and Jo needs to tone down the theming and story-telling (well, apart from this week!). It's not Jackabloodynory.
