Thanks for adding these.
Potentially some good choices there. A bit different for once. Greg and Natalie's music could be a winner if he can master the rumba. Ore and Joanne seem to have drawn the short straw in the Charleston.
Looking forward to the group dance.

Take me to the church is a difficult music to dance to, with compound triple and then simple quarduple time signature. This means that the compound triple (which is a waltz time signature) would be nigh to impossible to dance a foxtrot to...

Also, another boring and unsuitable pop music for Claudia and AJ, no doubt AJ is going to turn from a frog into a prince, or vice versa. Yawn.

And why is Greg given another latin dance? From cha-cha to rumba? Okay, some skills he learnt might be transferable to the rumba, but seeing him struggling with cha-cha, I am thinking Natalie is going to over-dance over Greg this time. He might be in danger this week.

Also, unsuitable Paso music for Robert, they are determined to make him be the camp gay one. This is surely homophobia from Jason Gilkison et al?

Lastly, Anastacia is going to struggle to dance a Jive to THAT Meatloaf music. She's probably going to end up looking like a meatloaf herself!!!

Next week Claudia and AJ dance to the Balamory theme song Laughing

I can't believe Greg's got another Latin and a Rumba at that. I'll be voting blind this weekend and I'm giving 2 of my votes to them for sure!

I broadly agree with everything you have all said.  Howlers for me are the tracks chosen for Danny and Oti, Claudia and AJ Sleep and the Judge and Oksana.

I do think there are some interesting choices in there though -  'Paint it Black' for example.  Is it my imagination or are tempos for the ballroom tangos on SCD getting faster??  (might just be me Rolling Eyes )   I also love the track chosen for Nat and Greg but not the fact that he has to do the Rumba!!  Talk about stitching him up -  why hasn't he had another ballroom n umber by now??? Evil or Very Mad     I agree that I think Nat will be dancing her heart out and there will probably lots of special effects but I so hope this isn't the end -  I really enjoyed them on ITT last night and their down to earth positivity.

Best tracks for me are those of Ed and Katya  ( wow at last - a latin dance getting a latin track!!! Smile  and Daisy and Alijaz -  I hope that the band sticks with the Spanish arrangement for this one.  I really think that this dance might suit Daisy and they will surely overshadow the other paso with this one?

I haven't really enjoyed the music choices on the last few Hallowe'en Shows - they have exhausted all the obvious choices now.  I feel that we won't be seeing a 'scary monster' type show either -  more a cross between ethereal magic meets Disney!      However, I do think that these shows must be heaven for the creative people behind the scenes -  make-up, scenery, special effects  and I'm sure they'll put on a good spectacle -oh and the dancing will be in there somewhere.......................... Laughing

I thought the Lady Gaga track sounded more like a Cha-Cha to me. Nat & Greg's track is seared onto my soul. She who now drives played this endlessly as a teenager and the sound of that singer's wailing voice haunts me for all the wrong reasons.

It's a shame some of the suggestions on 'You are dance director for the week' haven't been used. I love the Harry Potter theme but no-ones doing the V Waltz this week.

I'm not sure what butterflies and moths have to do with Halloween but I hope the Judge doesn't do an Icarus with any prop wings.

I'm dreading Halloween show it's just so predictable each year. I'm equally bored with thenes/films etc. I'd like to see a "book" week theme get people interested in reading, Historical events a dancing Napoleon or Lady Hamilton or Archilles be lovely and again teach a few famous Historical dates.....

Week 5 they already have terrible and cheesy VTs. And then they showed the preview of what Halloween VTs might be with the 'skit' where the pros were trying to jump scare the celebs. My skin crawled and trembled so much it reached the Ritcher Scale of 7!

I know CD I'm just as fed up of the cheese VT's. Why not have a live feed Web cam each day on the couples? We the viewer can plug in and see a few clips... I say sack the cheese vt guy and just do normal video diaries instead.

The pros already took up one day of the week (normally Mondays) to rehearse the pro dances and so they have precious little time to train. Then the numpty producers demanded them to go on daft locations, wearing silly costumes, acting on silly cringe-inducing skits for their VT, that's easily another day's worth of filming leading to NOTHING of value (everyone hates the VTs), so effectively they have less than 4 days every week to train (no more time on Saturday morning because they would have to do dry runs on the studio to decide how the cameras are going to be on the main show). How stupid is that?!

Rick Astley was on The One Show not too long ago and he looked like he'd just stepped out of 1987!

Hope he performs his classic Never Gonna Give You Up.

Incidentally, when is Blackpool? I need to calculate how many more weeks Ed has to survive!

He's probably not going back to his SAW days! lol!

If he sings this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cc91EfoBh8A I hope the pros do a Paso to it.

If he sings this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AC3Ejf7vPEY then I hope the pros dance a (quickish) rumba or Tango to it.

But it's likely he's singing this (title of the song so appropriate): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5o7WEv5Q5ZE, the pros can do a medley to this song, Cha-Cha, Samba, Tango, Paso especially!

Or a wild card, maybe a cover: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WUEdsXgBrDA afro

Oh dear, apart from Ore and Jo's Salsa (which is another disco song, ala their cha-cha), I think the other songs might, MIGHT actually work for the dances they are doing by and large (tempo wise).

I think Laura's Samba music, though quite authentic, is quite fast, like Claudia's a couple of weeks ago.

I hope Danny will not make a mistake with his Little Richard number and his Jive might even top Ore's. lol!

Daisy's VW is so predictable, like first week dance where several of them have name-puns song choices...

I don't mind 'It don't mean a thing....' but what I don't understand is why the Beeb specify a particular version, unless it's to showboat some new talent? Once the Strictly band adapts the song, surely who's version it is, is immaterial? I don't think this version is a patch on one of the Big Band Doo-Wap versions so why bother choosing it?

'Shut up and dance with me'. I don't mind that song either but haven't we had it a few times over the past series? I think the singer's voice reminds me a bit of Marty Pellow. Not sure about using it for a Paso. Dreading the theme Claudia might be lumbered with this week. Another High School altercation?

Some real Tango music bounce Basketball cheers Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy  HOORAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY. I'm happy

Bamboleo -  Laughing  sunny  cheers another thumbs up. Great music, now PLEASE can we have some decent Samba moves. I'm hoping Gio will tone it down a notch with the speed and lifts. I'd like to see Gorka choreograph a Samba to that one.

Disco for a Salsa. Hope it's not liftgate/spaghetti armography fight again. Less is more.

Can't beat a bit of Little Richard for a Jive

Once again the golden trio have decent music. The three weakest male celebs are leading the ballroom dances. As usual, the costumes and themes will be half the battle

Ed's music is lame. Not happy.

Great music for Greg though, I always associate it with the ending of The First Wives' Club  Laughing

Is Claudia destined only to dance to music from 2010 onwards?!

All three get the big yes. Don't mean a thing I can't help associating with a Harlem Jazz club Lindy Hop rather than much else....

Oh, and You don't own me as a Viennese waltz? I always associate that with the Dirty Dancing version by the Blow Monkeys.
