Contestants for Series 13

Hi all
I haven't been on the boards since the launch show - I've had a busy few weeks and had a small eye procedure but all ok now and I'm 'limbering' up for the 'Little bit of Honesty' thread and getting stuck into the show and to posting...........
I've not watched any of the training clips so will be watching afresh tomorrow night. I like a lot of the pairings - I think it promises to be an interesting year and there was a some good instant chemistry in some of the partnerships I thought. I also thought they were fair about who was paired with who. A liona must be back in favour as she got a 'young gun' again. The only contestant I am not keen on is Peter A ndre - I've no doubt he will be hoping to emulate M ark Wright and get some support behind him. J ay looked like a rabbit in the headlights at the launch show but could have a good 'J' like S imon did. A nton and K atie could be interesting - but I'm not sure in a good way or not! On the professional side, I'm looking forward to see what T ristan can do this year - as he got the 'early bath' last year he went under the radar I don't think we saw much of his potential. I'm glad that N athalie might get a fair crack of whip this year - let's hope! The jury's out on the new dancers looking forward to seeing them in action and seeing if they have got what it takes!

S id - hope you are well - I was just going through the thread and I read your post about the 'gentle pushing for a male winner - this year' - I agree with what you say about the male pro/female celeb pairings to be better - I feel it has slowly been going that way for the past couple of years. You know my feelings on K aren and J anettes's choreography and that of Mrs J ordan - for me - only K ristina and N athalie on the female side and possibly A liona if she gets a chance (never been a real fan but she is clever at her best) can hold a candle to choreographers like F lavia, E rin, and other female pros who have gone by the way. This might be controversial but IMO the current crop of male pros are more 'stand out' on the choroegraphy side. Will be interesting to see how P asha copes with a mature woman, I was beginning to think he had something in his contract about only getting young ones.......................

Very much agree about the male pros standing out more. It was a mistake not to sign Trent up for another year though. I was quite impressed with his choreography last year. Maybe it was his choice not to return, who knows.

I miss F.lavia, Lilia, Anya, Katya - all the ia's and ya's basically! Plus, Erin (in Ballroom). I liked the way they were with their partners and they did good choreography. I'd have them back in a heartbeat.

I've just been spending a trip down memory lane watching Natalie & Scott dancing. I don't think she's danced the Tango since Scott. I'd forgotten how good he was. It's a shame he ran out of steam.

I miss a rugby player from this year's line up. Not sure about Iwan's pairing! Apart from Peter Andre not to many ott publicity driven pro celebs this year. Just keep KP away from training rooms,ITT or in the audience please. Mentioning a K would have liked to have seen an ex Apprentice line up for CIN, Kate Hopkins,The Badger, and other unusual character Sirrallen fired!

I know but it clashes with Rugby

Unlike the Footy World Cup I just can't get into the Rugby AT ALL. Guess I'm just not a fan of odd-shaped balls

You should try Aussie Football (AFC) - funny shaped balls, sleeveless tops (called Guernseys) huge oval pitch and lots of fit men running for hours while trying to take a mark, score behinds (outer posts for 1 point) or goals (inner posts for 6 points)!
