Ha! ThomDoll's is already in a bathtowel on the second ep of ITT! Gosh, at that rate, he'll be in his birthday suit on week 3...

Got the knee slide prediction right CDcellar-door wrote:I hated O la's choreography, what on earth was she thinking making Steve wear a latin outfit (and with her that Paso Doble dress) when they were doing tango? And she threw quite a bit of Paso moves in it too. This is not a showdance, darhling! So sad for Steve, her hayneyed pivots and other formulaic sequence was for all to see. Salsa next week? Knee slides alert boys and girls!

I was so happy when I didn't see the knee slide and then towards the last two seconds, she put it in!
Why?!?!

I thought Greg-the-egg and Aliona worked better together this week. It looked like they were both in danger of enjoying themselves tonight. I'm glad. I thought she was unprofessional last week, leaving him to dance alone for most the routine. Credit to him for buttering her up this week, and for Aliona to take the olive branch.

i agree about Greg and Aliona, B4P. I rather think that he has shown a bit of something that has made her see that he is not a total no hoper. She is smiling more and I don't think it was the raspberry tart he brought.

Re: SCD 2014 Main & Result Show
I have to say Jennifer's waltz was clearly much better in the dance-off than during the main show. Still a lot of room for improvement, no doubt, but she was visibly more relaxed and did more things right with her hands and posture. Even some nice footwork.
Gregg was better in the rehearsal, esp. when Ian pointed out last Wed that he would surprised everyone (in a good way). Alas the nerves got in the way.
I suspect, as with dance-offs, if Scott and Judy are going to be the bottom two of the leaderboard, they are unlikely to be in the dance off.

He does seem better in week two during the Salsa. Maybe it was a firmware update?
To add, I think the pro group dance for movie week was quite inventive (using reverse footages). Last week's pro group medley was good too.

I felt sorry for Greg and Jennifer but someones gotta go.
I do feel it unfair that the Irish aren't allowed to vote in SCD whereas they can vote in the American DWTS. Surely that puts any Irish contestants at a disadvantage?

Agreed unfair B4p, but Jennifer doesn't have the watching support the baker boy had. She was the better on the dance-off but again, that kitchen routine was never going to compete with a simple waltz and I felt he was batter than the antique shuffler.

You do have a point that it's rather unfair for the Irish celeb Jennifer not able to get some love from NI(?) or ROI. But Mrs Brown was a popular programme in the UK, so I suspect Jennifer will have supporters, as long as she improves her ballroom posture pronto.

Re: SCD Main and Result Show
I didn't realize that viewers in Ireland could not vote for the show. I have warmed to Jennifer and she was much improved in the dance off but sorry that G regg went out, I felt that with Masterchef being so popular he could have at least mustered the same number of votes as what I thought some of the other celebs could pull including Mrs Murray - but there you go.................................

Hi Diamondandpearls!
Trent reminds me of a long lost cousin from Gullam!! Thomdoll just has blank eyes not portraying any impression or feelings. He may thaw out and lose the "headlight look" Maybe its becauae if you look at the credits Iveta looks like a praying Mantris about to bite her mates head off!

Trent and Pixie are both like, ahem, H*tl*r's children - they looked alright separately, but when put together, does seem strange, slightly eerie even.
As for ThomDoll, they realised the blond haired Ken Doll was too scary for girls in general, so they took a G.I. Joe model with better 'physique' and gave it black hair. Thus, ThomDoll is a successful evolution of design. Shame about the software they used. Firmware update on salsa night was a step in the right direction, but will we get a reboot of the old Operating System in ThomDoll when he does ballroom again?
"I can't wait for next week's sexy Salsa," so says ThomDoll in his mechnical, inimitable way...

Re: SCD 2014 Main & Result Show
I was surprised how tall Trent was. At one point in the Pro dance he partnered Natalie and looked almost as tall. I thought he was small and slight.
Pixie and Trent remind me of the characters in John Wyndham's The Midwich Cuckoos. Blond, blue eyes and a bit 'other worldly'

That's exactly what I was thinking! You've hit the nail right on the head :-) I was surprised when the fabu-u-lus darling one said on ITT today that he can always relax watching Pixie - their other worldliness makes it all a bit uncomfortable to watch. For me anyway...

1. Tell me more about Gullam - never heard of it, soz :-(
2. OMG YES!!!! Praying Mantis is JUST IT! Genius :-)
I hear Thom and Iveta are dating (cue her Cat Got The Cream look) but I also hear that his ex Kelly Brook has been in contact. If both are true I imagine the Praying Mantis will be springing into action....

Is there a day that goes by without Kelly Brook being in the media for something or other?
